Kahyar Trek 16 Days

This zone is known as one of the most popular & interesting trek route in west region from Kathmandu. The heart of Annapurna Mountain region has a power of magnetic attraction still remains secret  though this region is most frequented by trekkers.  The secluded place hidden behind the massive of Annapurna ranges is one of the most speculative vantage points of the region. The panoramic views it offers are beyond words. The majestic Dhaulagiri , 8,167m. which is the seventh highest mountain of the world and other famous peaks Nilgiri, Tukuche peak, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Fish-tail, Lamjung Himal, Annapurna IV, III, Dampus Peak, Mana Pathi Peak, Annapurna Fang, all stand up in line surrounded with the permanent snow. The pattern of undulating ridges lay beyond and particularly during the spring season the place promises to enrich your spirit by the glow of various flowers found only in this region. The trail to this track is mainly dominant by the rhododendron, which blooms in spring.

 Another attraction for the trekkers to this place is the open arms of locals and their strong beliefs and colorful cultural traditions amongst the different cultural groups.  Every year there is celebrated two famous festivals. All the locals gathering together on the top of the ridge once in the month of March & April and another in the month of July & August. The ritual follows as per the tradition.  In the first case the locals slain a Yak and drink the blood while it is hot as they believe it the perfect treatment for any kind of illness. On the later occasion, during the day of sacred-thread replacement, people believe that they will receive everything they pray for.  Especially the married infertile women came to ask for the fertility of their wombs.


Day 1- Kathmandu (1300m)

Arrive in Kathmandu.  You will be met by our representative and transferred to your  hotel

Day 2-Kathmandu

The city sightseeing tour will include visits to Pashupatinath, where you will may witness a Hindu cremation along the banks of the Bagmati River.   Boudhanath Stupa which is the focal point for Tibetan Buddhist.  Here you will see worshippers circumambulate the stupa.  Swayambhunath or more commonly known as the  Monkey Temple sits atop a hill overlooking Kathmandu.  Here you will see temples and shrines to both Hindu and Buddhist beliefs and lots of monkeys.  No visit is complete to Kathmandu without a visit to Durbar Square one of the three Royal Durbar Squares situated in the Kathmandu Valley

Day 3 - Kathmandu Pokhara

Fly to Pokhara

Day 4 - Pokhara - Nayapull

drive to Nayapull & commence trek to Ghandruk (1940m)

Day 5 - Ghandruk to Tadapani 5 hour (2721m)

Day 6 - Tadapani to Dobato 6 hour (3460m)

Day 7 - Dobato to Chhistibung 6 hour (3100m)

Day 8 - Chhistibung to Kobra Danda (4020m)

Day 9 - Kobra Danda to Khayar BC (4620m)

visit to Kalibaraha Lake (4827m)

Day 10 - Khayar BC to Annapurna South Glacier

Visit  lake & trek back to Kobra Danda (4020m)

Day 11 - Kobra Danda to Chitre (2370m) or Swata (2270m)

Day 12 - Chitre to Ghorepani (3200m)

walk to Poon Hill tower for view of the  Annapurna’s

Day 13 -Trek to Tirkhedhunga (1540m) or Birethanti –Naypul

drive to Pokhara

Day 14 - Pokhara Kathmandu

Day 15 – Kathmandu

Free day and in the evening farewell dinner with Nepali culture program

Day 16 - Kathmandu

We will provide you transport to Tiribhuwan International Airport for your departure home
